Convening 2024 royal decree of direct to Madrid and Barcelona to carry out projects and digital transformation

As in 2021, 2022 and 2023, over the last call for 2024, the allocation of funds to EELL have been implemented through a royal decree of granting direct subsidy for the municipalities of Barcelona and Madrid that aims to digital transformation and modernization of their administrations, in the framework of the recovery Plan, transformation and Resilience (PRTR).
In this regard, the convening, in the total amount of 5.740.384,19, has written to the municipalities of Barcelona and Madrid, not least because of the unique character and extraordinary nature of both cities as most populated cities of Spain and tourist engines of the state; to emerge as the Only municipalities throughout the national territory with special regulatory laws that come to recognize their uniqueness institutional framework; and, in particular, by their status as engines of growth and transformation to the entire national territory and by their permeability to absorb economic resources and transform them into innovative projects and digital transformation, keys for better local administration.
