IGNACIO DE DOMINGO VALENZUELA

Born in Madrid in 1980.

Functions

Responsible for the functions established by Law 40/2015, of 1 October, on the Legal Regime of the Public Sector, as well as the leadership, promotion and monitoring of the dependent directive bodies. He also coordinates the actions of the department regarding the matters submitted to the collegiate bodies of the Government.

Educational Background

Bachelor's degree in Law and Bachelor's degree in Economics from the Carlos III University of Madrid.

Member of the Higher Corps of the Civil State Administrators since 2009.

Professional experience

Appointed Undersecretary of Territorial Policy by Royal Decree 676/2021, of July 27. (BOE of July 28).

Previously he served as Technical Secretary-General at the Ministry of Territorial Policy and Civll Service, from February to July 2021; and Technical Secretary-General at the Ministry of Health since January 2020 to February 2021.

From 2018 to January 2020, he served as Deputy Director-General of the Inspection of Services of the Peripheral Administration of the State in the Ministry of Territorial Policy and Civil Service, having previously served as Assistant Deputy General Director at this Subdirectorate. He also held various positions of responsibility at the Ministry of Economy, the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation and at the Ministry of Environment and Rural and Marine Environment.

He organized and participated as a trainer in training courses on public subsidies, the disciplinary regime, as well as transparency, access to information and good governance.
